Steve Baker MP has been the Member of Parliament for Wycombe since 2010, representing the Conservative Party. He is a co-founder of the Cobden Centre, a British thinktank promoting Austrian economics. He founded and chairs the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Economics, Money and Banking and he is a Vice-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Aerospace.
Prior to his political career, Steve was an engineer officer in the Royal Air Force. He became a Chartered Engineer through the Royal Aeronautical Society, holding a military airworthiness licence. After his time with the RAF, he read a Master of Science in Computer Science at St. Cross College, University of Oxford. He later joined a specialist software firm as Head of Consulting and Product Manager before taking on various senior roles in technical contexts.
